Deploy on push
An app published from a git link follows its branch: push a commit, and it goes online by itself.
How it works
It is on from the first publish of a git repo. Every minute, Secretbase asks the repository which commit the app's branch points at. A new one is published the usual way, one app at a time. Nothing to set up on GitHub or any other git service: no webhook.
An app that is offline isn't updated until it is back online.
Turn it off or on
In the app's folder, or with the app's name:
$ secretbase updates my-site off $ secretbase updates my-site on
Off, it says "Update on push is off for my-site: new commits are published only when you publish." On, "Update on push is on for my-site: each new commit is published by itself within about a minute."
On the dashboard: the app's Settings, Update on push.
If something goes wrong
- An app published from a folder has no update on push:
$ secretbase updates my-app off my-app isn't published from a git link, so it has no update on push.
- A commit that didn't go online: read why with
secretbase logs my-site. If the repository can't be read, Secretbase tries again every 5 minutes. - A private repository needs its git token: see A git repo.
